Our Company Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

1.1. “DigiGo” refers to DigiGo (Pty) Ltd, a company specializing in Solar PV and Battery Backup installations.

1.2. “Customer” refers to the individual or entity contracting DigiGo’s services for Solar PV and Battery Backup installations.

1.3. “Equipment” refers to the solar photovoltaic systems, battery backup systems, and related components to be installed by DigiGo.

2. Scope of Work

2.1. DigiGo agrees to provide solar PV and battery backup installation services as described in the signed quotation or contract.

2.2. The installation may involve the mounting of solar panels, electrical connections, and battery backup systems as specified in the agreement.

2.3. Any additional work requested by the Customer, not included in the original agreement, will be subject to a separate quotation and approval.

3. Payment Terms

3.1. The Customer agrees to pay DigiGo as outlined in the quotation or invoice. Payment terms, including deposit requirements, progress payments, and final payment, shall be specified therein.

3.2. In the event of late payment, DigiGo reserves the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount at a rate of 10% per month.

4. Warranty

4.1. DigiGo provides a warranty for the installed equipment as given to us by suppliers and manufacturers. The Customer is responsible to register for warranties as may be required by certain manufacturers. The Customer should enquire with DigiGo within 6 weeks of installation date if warranties need to be registered for, but DigiGo shall not be obligated by default to register any warranty on the client’s behalf without specific request by the Customer.

4.2. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from installation date, provided that no other contractor tampered with our work. Any tampering, whether by other contractors or anyone else, will void our workmanship warranty. Fuses, fuse holders and surge protection devices are wear and tear items that do not carry any warranty.

4.3. Any warranty claims must be submitted in writing to DigiGo within the warranty period. DigiGo will promptly assess and address the claim as per the warranty terms.

4.4. In the event of a warranty claim on the installed equipment, DigiGo reserves the right to inspect the equipment. Should the inspection require dismounting, transportation, and reinstallation of the equipment, these additional services will be billed separately to the Customer at the prevailing rates.

5. Ownership of Equipment

5.1. Ownership of the installed equipment remains with DigiGo until the full payment is received from the Customer.

5.2. The Customer may not sell, transfer, or encumber the equipment until full payment is made.

6. Permits and Approvals

6.1. DigiGo will obtain necessary permits and approvals for the installation, where required and paid for by the Customer. The Customer shall cooperate and provide any information or documentation necessary for this process within 6 weeks of the installation date.

7. Insurance and Risk

7.1. DigiGo will maintain adequate insurance coverage during the installation process. Upon successful installation and fitting of the equipment onto the Customer’s property, the risk of loss, theft, or damage to the equipment immediately transfers to the Customer.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. DigiGo’s liability for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the installation, including but not limited to, equipment malfunction, electrical issues, or property damage, is limited to the terms specified in the warranty.

9. Refunds

9.1. Where any product is returned, it needs to be in it’s original packaging, unopened and unused for a credit note to be issued which can be used as payment towards another product or service from DigiGo. DigiGo does not offer cash refunds.

9.2. Installation materials such as wire, DB boxes, fuses and switchgear and cut mounting structures is not refundable or swappable for credit.
